Ken Stern Voted Best of Bar in Immigration Law
June 30, 2005
The Denver Business Journal surveyed more than 5,000 area lawyers to find out who they thought the best and the brightest lawyers were in nine different areas of the law including securities, media, public finance and immigration law. Stern's partner of 20 years, Nancy Elkind, was a finalist for the award. Their firm, Stern and Elkind, represents some of the region's leading technology companies, universities and colleges, hospitals, professional athletes and performance artists.
Stern has been practicing immigration law for more than two decades. "Immigration law allows me to represent a broad range of clients from executives of major corporations to refugees seeking asylum in the United States."
This recognition is not the first for Stern, who received his law degree from the University of Denver in 1978. He is a prior recipient of the American Immigration Lawyers Association Jack Wasserman Memorial Award for Excellence in Immigration Litigation, and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Colorado chapter of AILA in 2002. Additionally, Stern is listed in the Best Lawyers in America and was named one of Denver's top lawyers by 5280 Magazine.
